It's not a huge deal as far as coding is concerned -- the immediately
preceding context suffices to distinguish "-" in identifiers from "-"
in ranges -- but I still prefer either ".." or ":" to "-".
Recognizing ".." is no more difficult than distinguishing the two
meanings of "-".
