Hi Carl Kugler,

NOPE - your simple fix doesn't work at all.

The vast majority of printer state reasons are either
report or warning in severity (read the list Tom sent
out).

It'
It's an artifact of the development history of IPP that
the ISO DPA state 'paused' is expressed as 'paused'
in the IPP printer-state-reasons. 'Paused' is NEVER
an error - it happened (as INTENDED) by external human
or management station command - it is NORMAL OPERATION.

You may all have talked about this a long time, but
you all seem to have missed the forest for the trees...

My two cents,
