A new issue of the ACM Standard View has just been released. The issue is
Volume 6, Number 4, the date curiously enough is December 1998 (which seems
to be a printing error).
Among the authors you will find familiar names like myself, Don Wright,
Scott Isaacson, Carl Kugler, Harry Lewis, Peter Zehler, Peter Michalek and
Michael Sweet. The preparations and input for this issue started already
last summer, but it has taken a long time to actually get it into print. My
sincere thanks to the co-authors from the IPP team. This will help spreading
the word about IPP to a wider audience. Last, but not least, thanks to Carl
Cargill, editor of the ACM Standard View for helping us get a special issue
on IPP published.
Before you ask, there is no soft version of this. You can order the hardcopy
from ACM at:

The price is $10 for ACM members, $20 for non-members. However, this issue
is still so new that it does not seem to appear on the ACM web site yet. You
