The common ITU-T T.4 standard fax resolutions are
(horizontal by vertical, dots-per-inch):
'standard' - 200x100 DPI
'fine' - 200x200 DPI
'superfine' - 200x400 DPI
'ultrafine' - 400x400 DPI
