Xerox has prototyped the Copy Service. I will send out a summary of the
prototype under separate cover. The "Copy Service: Semantic Model and
Service Interface" specification is available at
<ftp://ftp.pwg.org/pub/pwg/mfd/wd/wd-mfdcopymodel10-20100314.pdf>. The
Working Group Last Call will complete on March 29th. Final comments
from the group will be resolved at the April 1st teleconference.
The subsequent PWG Last Call for FaxOut will be delayed. The MFD
Service specifications under development have a normative dependence on
the "MFD Model and Overall Semantics" specification. We will not Last
Call the Overall specification until we have a number of service
specification ready for Last Call. The current plan is to put the Copy
Service, FaxOut and FaxIn specifications into PWG wide Last Call along
with the Overall specification.
