[PWG-Announce] Reminder - PWG Formal Vote of Cloud Imaging Requirements and Model (May 5 to June 19, 2015)

[PWG-Announce] Reminder - PWG Formal Vote of Cloud Imaging Requirements and Model (May 5 to June 19, 2015)

Sun Jun 14 23:50:46 UTC 2015

Voting period on the Cloud Imaging Requirements and Model Specification is
schedule to end this week. However, at this point, we are far from quorum.
If you represent a full PWG member, please vote. Remember, the Cloud Imaging
Requirements and Model Specification and the IPP Shared Infrastructure
Extensions specification (INFRA) are mutually dependent, and as currently
written, one cannot become a PWG candidate standard without the other. So,
before summer schedules interfere, please take the time to look at these
specifications, clear the vote with your company and send in your vote.
These specifications allow IPP and the PWG Semantic Model to be extended to
the Cloud environment. Placing you vote does not commit your company to
anything; but, if passed, these specifications will standardize an extension
of the well-implemented and mature IPP model to be used for cloud-based
servers to communicate with local printers and scanners.
Thanks,
Bill Wagner
