Hi folks,

Some cross-fertilization between PWG and FSG efforts.

Yasumasa Toratani (Canon, FSG Open Printing Bi-di API project)
recently contacted me about using the (future) WBMM standardized
machine translation of Printer MIB v2 into XML Schema as the value
returned by FSG/OP Bi-di API queries to printers.

Topic for a little discussion at tomorrow's WBMM telecon?

Cheers,

Hello,

I appreciate that your comment let me realize Printer MIB v2 is the
best choice for the Bi-di Plug-in API, and we will discuss the trial
bi-di plug-in implementation which will send back the Printer MIB v2
XML data based on your XML schema.

First version of Bi-di Plug-in API will prepare the basic reading API
for obtaining the XML data from the printer, and the event handling
method will be prepared in the future version. So, I believe that the
Bi-di Plug-in API should be consistent with the PWG WBMM efforts
hereafter, and first of all, I'll try to read all the discussion of
WBMM group's mailing list to catch up with them.

Many thanks,
Yasumasa TORATANI.
