------------------------------------------------------------------------

Abstract: This document defines the semantics and structure for the
PWG Imaging System Model v1.0 (ISM/1.0). This model describes the
hierarchy and managed component relationships of both single-function
(e.g., print) and multi-function (e.g., scan, fax, and print) Imaging
Services and and Imaging Devices. This model describes both
direct-connect (e.g., USB) and network-attached (e.g., Ethernet)
managed components of the Imaging System.

For industry coherence, this document extends the original
print-centric system model in the Printer MIB v1 [RFC1759], IPP/1.1
[RFC2911], and the PWG Semantic Model/1.0 [PWG5105.1] to cover all
closely-related Imaging Systems.
