BIT STRING has been deprecated and removed from SMIv2
BITS was added in SMIv2 but 1902 is a fairly old version and probably
not what is on the standards track. At this point, its really the
SNMPv3 effort.
Im reading in Chapter 2 of Dave Perkin's wonderful book "Understanding
SNMP MIBs". If you really need an RFC number, I could certainly go
grep through the current RFC revisions for SMIv2 or SMIvX.
