    Hi,

I've updated the XHTML-Print specification to fix the typos, etc. noted by
Fujisawa-san and shown below. The URL of this version is:
     http://www.w3.org/MarkUp/Group/2003/WD-xhtml-print-20031030/

For those who cannot access the W3C version, a copy has been placed at the
    following url:

    http://www.pwg.org/xhtml-print/W3C-Version/WD-xhtml-print-20031030/Overview.
    html

I expect that this version will become a W3C Candidate Recommendation.

    Jim

    P.S.
Many thanks go to Fujisawa-san for uncovering these problems. J.

    Update of /home/cvs/xhtml-print
    In directory hades.mn.aptest.com:/tmp/cvs-serv5247

    Modified Files:
            Overview.mhtml
    Log Message:
    From Jun Fujisawa:
    1.2 Terminology
    - The following description is not true: "However, for readability, these
words do not appear in all uppercase letters in this specification".

    2.1 Document Conformance
    - The root element should be "html" in stead of "<html>". This error
originated from the XHTML Basic specification.

    - The alternate DOCTYPE declaration form should use "//PWG" in stead
    of "//W3C".

    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//PWG//DTD XHTML-Print 1.0//EN"

    2.3.2 XHTML Requirements
    - In the fourth item, "application/vnd.pwg-xhtml-print+xml" should be
    changed to "application/xhtml-print+xml".

    - In the fifth item: "A conforming printer SHALL support the CSS construct
and associated values given in the CSS Print Profile", "SHALL" should be
"SHOULD" since "printers SHOULD provide support for CSS within the limit of
    their device"
    as described in 1.3.2.

    3.1 Attributes and Attribute Collections
    - In the description for SHOULD, "MAY" should be in lowercase, and "MUST
    not" should be "MUST NOT".

    - In the description for N/A, "cannot" should be "MUST NOT", and monospaced
font should be used for "accesskey".

    - In the description for N/A, the sentence: "The attribute to form
    submission.."
    does not end with period.

    3.3 Text Module
    - In the Table Note, "xml:space='preserve' is the default for all element in
XHTML" should be "xml:space='preserve' is the default for pre element". For
other elements, the default value for xml:space attribute is 'default'. By
the way, the description about the difference between input and output does
    not make sense to me.

-- I removed this paragraph since I don't see what it adds to the spec. -
    Jim

4.1 Recommended Attributes on the img and object Elements
    - In the second paragraph, "height and widthw attributes" should be "height
    and width attributes".

    D.1 Normative References
    - In the reference to RFC2119, the URI should not have "?number=2119".

    Jim
