[Cloud] A different pass at cloud printing requirements.

[Cloud] A different pass at cloud printing requirements.

We discussed the document at the meeting today. I am going to update the
model and requirements document so we can have additional review.

I believe that we all agreed that the operations of a network print scenario
remain, the additional components are with security and transversal of the
different domains.

My target is to have an update out in the next two weeks so everyone has a
week to comment prior to the next meeting (Labor day slips the meeting
schedule).

Hi Larry,

Your statement maybe true, but I think your statement aligns with what I
said in my previous msg, the differences between cloud and non-cloud
scenarios lie primarily in the "non-print-operation" realm. The print
functionality a cloud user might want to see would be the same, but the
cloud is usually in a different security realm (or domain) with different
access and authorization policies.

It may be that the issues we need to address with cloud printing are not
printing issues at all, but rather, AAA (authentication, authorization,
etc.)

I am feeling like we are going in circles on the requirements issue. I have
attempted to put the requirements in a bulleted list.

As an end user and print system designer, my opinion is cloud printing is
not existing print systems located in the cloud. This is because users can
connect to the cloud print provider directly without authenticating to the
system hosting the printer.
