I would certainly like to see the referenced file case covered on IPP v1.0.
At least for the cases where no special access rights are required, such as
if the file is open to everybody on the Internet, or if the file is in the
same domain behind a firewall. More complex cases will be dependent on how
much in the way of security we want to provide for IPP v1.0.
