Subject: IPP> ftp and http ???? (help anyone)

Are ftp and http part of IPP 1.1 specs.

No, but IPP is mapped on top of HTTP/1.1 and references it.

Will all ftp printer/server support ftp of print jobs. What I mean is that
if there is an IPP 1.1
compatible printer, will I be able to ftp to it so that the transmitted
data is printed.

No, this is not part of IPP.
If you use the optional IPP feature for print-by-reference, then
your printer is likely to be able to fetch documents using FTP, but this is
different from sending document to a printer using FTP.

Also do IPP compliant printer/server always accept PostScript(PS) binary
data.

IPP does not require that all printers support a particular print
format like Postscript.
However, I think you will find that most IPP printers do support Postscript
in their implementation.

Regards.
