We have been making progress on the IPP over USB specification since an early draft was posted to the PWG site some time ago.
The IPP over USB specification will an Amendment to the Universal Serial Bus
Device Class Definition for Printing Devices version 1.1
The Amendment adds
Protocol Interface type 4 for IPP
Defines Device Descriptors for IPP
Requires that Devices Implement at least two Interfaces
We are very close to critical mass and plan on working on the specification in the USB-IF very soon.
Of course we welcome additional input.
