At the NY meeting, it was recommended that we (HP) register our TCP port
9100 usage with IANA. I asked our I/O people about registering and received
the following response.

> answer from IANA was an NO. I have recently asked for less ports but
> have not received a response yet. They are slow and not very amiable.
> IANA registration is a pain in the rear!
