Hi,

To refresh your memory, Paul Danbold (Apple) was going to poll
printer vendors about their interest in Micro Job Ticket interfaces,
so we should probably have a status and next steps topic anyway.

Paul Danbold - are you planning to come to Lexington next month?

I agree we should move further on Transform. I think we're partly
tied up in the "SOAP or not-SOAP" topic of WIMS. The abstract
Transform interface doesn't need to restrict bindings.

But to be useful, some explicit Transform binding is necessary.
I personally favor a "direct XML" binding over HTTP, just like IPP
uses a "direct binary" binding over HTTP.

Cheers,
- Ira

I'd like to see if we can make some progress on formation and direction of
TFM. If MJT is stable we don't need to have that meeting.

PWG> Need a schedule for Lexington (4-6 October)

Hi,

On the PWG web site, the current 2004 schedule says:

October 4-8: Lexington, KY
4: MJT / TFM
5: WIMS
6: Plenary / Semantic Model
7: P2600
8: P2600

Are we meeting on Micro Job Ticket and/or Transform (TFM)?

The updated MJT (with changes from Montreal) is at:

 ftp://ftp.pwg.org/pub/pwg/BOFs/mjt/tb-mjt10-20040824.htm

I have not updated the TFM slides or spec for the minor
comments from Montreal. Should we meet again on TFM and
plan next steps?

Cheers,
- Ira
