In addition to updates on the JDF Map effort, there was extensive discussion concerning the development of a Semantic Model Maintenance and Approval process. This process definition is necessary to meet the workgroup’s new charter responsibility of maintaining the PWG model and keeping it current with respect to other PWG workgroup developments, but doing this with the XML representation of the model and operations rather than with standard English specification documents.
All interested parties are encouraged to review the ideas outlined in the minutes, which are intended as a basis for a process proposal that the workgroup will submit to the PWG steering committee. Comments and contributions are to be made on this mail list, and will be reviewed at the next SM conference call (the last for the year) on 14 December.
