Windows applications can ask for the following printer information:

1) Paper Name (user string)
2) Paper Number (Windows defined DMPAPER_* number or custom size using a
value greater than DMPAPER_USER)
3) Paper Size
4) Paper Margins
5) Maximum Paper Size
6) Minimum Paper Size
7) Source Name (user string)
8) Source Number (Windows defined DMBIN_* number or custom source using a
value greater than DMBIN_USER)

For a truly independent universal description file the name and dimensions
must be provided for all supported sizes. It's not a difficult job to match
those sizes with the platform predefined sizes. There should also be a way
to indicate if the user can define their own paper sizes in addition to the
list of supported standard sizes. For constraints this means not only
specifying the supported sizes but also specifying a range of user defined
sizes that the constraint applies to.
