[For review next Monday 26 April during WIMS WG teleconference]

I've just posted another Prototype draft of the PWG Power Management Model:

 ftp://ftp.pwg.org/pub/pwg/wims/wd/wd-wimspower10-20100422.pdf / doc
 - clean copy with line numbers

 ftp://ftp.pwg.org/pub/pwg/wims/wd/wd-wimspower10-20100422-rev.pdf / doc
 - redlines with line numbers

This draft addresses all the open issues from the April PWG F2F.

This draft is technically aligned with the Power MIB.

Comments?

Cheers,
- Ira

------------------------------
Changes made to create 22 April 2010 version (Prototype Draft)

Editorial – Kept document status at Prototype

Technical – Revised section 2.4 Power Terminology to explicitly import complete
set of power mode and power state terms from PWG Power Management Model,
per Bill Wagner

Technical – Revised PowPowerStateTC in ASN.1 MIB to rename “offGraceful” to
“offSoftGraceful”, “reset” to “resetSoft”, “resetGraceful” to
“resetSoftGraceful”, per
PWG Power Management Model

Technical – Revised section 6.1 (conformance) to clarify that the specified
relationships between operational state and power state in section 2.5.1 of PWG
Power Management Model are RECOMMENDED best practice, per Bill Wagner

Technical – Revised section 6.1 (conformance) to clarify that, if
implemented, the
icKeyTable, icServiceTable, and icSubunitTable in the already RECOMMENDED
PWG ISC MIB MUST be persistent across reboots (which is important for
correlating operational states with power states), per Bill Wagner
