XP> [css3 page] 'fit'

No kidding!!

I think my first choices would have been 'fit' instead of 'meet' and
'fill' instead of 'slice'. But since the property is called 'fit' and
the default stretch-to-fit is called 'fill', I guess I don't get my
first choice. ;-)

People seem to be leaning toward fill, none, meet, and cover as opposed
to fill, hidden, meet, and slice; but I wouldn't bet a nickel at this
point. ;-)

Best.

Melinda

	Hi Melinda,

Zoran supports pretty much any alternative to the keyword
"hidden" in this context. The heck with precedent :^)

	  Thanks,

	  E.

The 'fit' property was discussed at length during last week's
CSS WG face-to-face meeting.

Based on those discussions, I would not be surprised if:

	a) the value names were to change;

	b) the property were to be extended to cover cases where height
and/or width is 'auto'.

You might choose to wait until the spec returns to CR before
completing design and beginning implementation.

	Best wishes,

	Melinda
