The IPPFAX protocol spec is now available. Sorry for the delay. I know
that it is well behind our one week rule. It has 43 issues that Marty, Ira,
and I have found which would be good to see if they can be considered at the
meeting. I'll send out the issues in a separate mail note in a minute.

The url for the IFX spec is:

There are three documents IPP FAX documents, plus the tiff/fx extensions
document that could be covered at the IPP FAX WG meeting. In the past, we
have only been able to cover one such document. The group will need to
decide whether to focus on one document and which one, or try to go through
the issues that are raised explicitly in each document.

    The IPPFAX documents are:

    1. UIF spec version D0.6, John Pulera posted yesterday at:

    2. IFX spec version D0.6, I will post and announce today at (after Marty
    Joel finishes proofing):

    3. IPPGET Delivery Method, I will post and announce tomorrow at:

This IPPGET version will have the recent email agreements since the I-D was
published last Friday (<draft-ietf-ipp-notify-get-04.txt>) Last Friday's
    I-D is available at:

The UIF spec has only 3 explicit issues, plus some discussion about gray
scale and color C and L profile MIME types. Lloyd McIntyre has helped
    review it.

The IFX spec has about 20 issues (again). So it would be good to at least
try to resolve as many of those as possible.

The IPPGET spec has no issues but is the REQUIRED Delivery Method for IPP
FAX. Is the IPPGET spec ready for IPP WG Last Call?

We also should look at the Drafts TIFF-FX Extension 1 and Schema Extension 1
that Lloyd McIntyre called our attention to. Here it is important to send
any comments to the Internet FAX DL (<ietf-fax@imc.org>) as well as the IPP
FAX DL (<ifx@pwg.org). However, sending comments can be done individually,
but needs to be done before August 4.

I'll not be attending, though Marty Joel and John Pulera will. Also Peter
Zehler will be attending from Xerox and is very familiar with IPP.

    Hi Tom,

I would find it helpful to know what documents will be discussed at the
August 1 meeting in Toronto, and I'm sure the others would too. I'd like
to review those documents before the meeting (and postpone reading
documents that will not be discussed there).
