So all you have to do is drop in the right PPD file to get instant
printer support in CUPS? That sounds easy enough.

Or is that an oversimplification? When I think of PPD files, the
first thing I think of is access to the printer's special features,
or at the very least, the proper mapping of standard features, such
as tray numbers, etc.

Is customization of CUPS as easy as dropping in the vendor's
Windows NT 4.0 PPD files into some sort of well-known directory?
