You submitted your request about which operating systems support IPP to the
ipp@pwg.org DL which requires that you be registered. Our chairman
forwarded your bounced email to the list and several people have responded
to the IPP DL with the list of operating systems that support IPP.

Perhaps we should add this list of operating systems to the IPP web site?

If you want to participate in further IPP discussions, please join the IPP
DL as follows:

        IPP Web Page: http://www.pwg.org/ipp/
        IPP Mailing List: ipp@pwg.org

To subscribe to the ipp mailing list, send the following email:
        1) send it to majordomo@pwg.org
        2) leave the subject line blank
        3) put the following two lines in the message body:
        subscribe ipp
        end

Thanks for asking about IPP.

Subject: RE: IPP> Is there anywhere a list of operating systems which
support IPP???

IBM has added IPP support to their iSeries (formerly AS/400) servers.
Starting at OS/400 operating system level V4R5 and above, they implemented
IPP server functionality. This means the IBM server can receive print files
via the IPP protocol from IPP enabled clients.

At their latest operating system release level (V5R2), they implemented the
client portion of IPP as well. This means it is now possible to send data
via IPP from an IBM iSeries server to another device that can receive IPP
print files.

Best Regards,

/Paul

Process Software's MultiNet and TCPware products both add IPP 1.0 client functionality to OpenVMS on VAX and AXP machines.
