The Projector & Display Management WG recruiting brochure is on the FTP
site. This is the final artwork unless I hear a showstopper before COB
today. It goes to the printer tomorrow morning.

Rick, the (draft) brochure suites me and I see no problem affixing the
PWG logo as shown. I've scheduled this for SC discussion and approval at
tomorrow's call (but I urge all SC members to comment prior to the
meeting to assist Rick with his deadline).

I offer the following re-scripting of the "why PWG" section... for your
    consideration.

The Printer Working Group is a well-established standards organization
with a fifteen year history that includes a number of influential
industry standards. Projectors, displays and printers are similar in
their manageability challenges and solutions in that they share many of
the same modeling concepts such as communications, color models,
resolution, consumables, control consoles and alerts. PWG is a program
of IEEE-ISTO, which supports us with administration, process, and
    intellectual property guidelines.

Hi, Harry, Lee, Cindy, et al.,

Here is a draft of the brochure for your review.

It is a tri-fold page (to be printed tumble duplex, for us printer
geeks), to be folded (tucked, not accordion) such that the PWG logo page
and the network diagram page will be the visible outside. The artwork
will change, I hope for the better, but the basic flavor should remain
the same. There's not much room for additional content, as you can see.

    The questions to be answered:
    - Is this a reasonable vehicle to use the PWG logo?
    - And to include the mentions of IEEE-ISTO?
Opinions/decisions welcome, and the earlier that better, please. I have
to print the final copies on Friday, so COB Thursday is an absolute
    deadline for me.

    Thanks.

    rick

    Harry,

By copy, I am bringing Peter Lefkin and Margaux Siena, ISTO Marketing
Manager into the loop. Harry, I agree with your rationale to use the PWG
logo (which includes "a program of the IEEE-ISTO"). Perhaps the ISTO
    boiler plate can be included?

Thank you for allowing the ISTO team to review the draft before
    printing!

    Regards,
    Cindy

The PWG logo already contains a reference to the ISTO so I recommend
    just using the PWG logo.

I suggest the following approval cycle.

    1. Ideally, final markup would be circulated to the SC and to ISTO by
    Thursday for approval.
    2. If final markup is unavailable, a draft will do.
    3. The PWG steering committee will approve the use of the logo.
    4. I don't believe ISTO approval is necessary but we would certainly
want to know if they have any objection.

Cindy, please sanity check the above.

    Hi Cindy/Harry,

The Projector & Display Management Working Group (one of the PWG
activities) is preparing a propaganda brochure for distribution at the
    upcoming InfoComm conference.

The group would like to include both the PWG and the IEEE ISTO
logos on the brochure -- if there is no problem with either
    organization.

What are the guidelines/restrictions in doing so?

What permission(s) and/or signatures, if any, are necessary?

The purpose of the brochure is to briefly describe the purpose and goals
of the Working Group. It is desirable to include the PWG and IEEE
organizational affiliation if at all possible.

I'm not exactly sure what the timeframe is on this, but I think Rick
wants to have the brochures printed before Friday -- so a speedy
    response is necessary.

    Thanks in advance,

    Lee
