There is not a black and white answer to the question on more interop
testing. Chris and I have discussed this in the past and Chris should
certainly correct me if I misspeak on anything in this e-mail. The
"official" answer is that interop testing is required again on the
Printer MIB - anytime changes are made in a MIB then interop testing
is required again. However Chris and I both think we can successfully
argue that the Printer MIB should be an exception to the "official"
answer. The changes made in the Printer MIB are "minor" and were only
made because of "implementation experience". We think these are valid
reasons for the Printer MIB to be an exception to the "official" answer.
Now there is always the possibility that Chris and I fail in our
argument and then there are two possiblities: Do not proceed to Draft or
Do the interop testing.

I like option 3. Ira has also reminded us that some new interop testing may be
required to go to Draft. Can we get an "official" reading on this?
