01/07/03 Agenda
1) Discovery - Finalize:
SLPv2 and LDAPv3 examples for spec,
SSDP examples for spec.
2) Look at mDNS-SD examples
3) Spec review topics
01/07/03 Minutes:
0) Rev 0.94x (candidate for 0.95) will be delivered on the morning
of January 13 2003. This gives us a week to review before the
start of the week of PWG F2F meetings. Planning page turner review
at PSI F2F January 24 2003.
Ideally, at the F2F we will identify what needs to be fixed to have
a last call for comments before we promote the spec to revision 0.95
At 0.95 the spec will be theoretically frozen. Changes to the spec will
be conducted via an errata process. One exception is the WSDL itself.
The WSDL will evolve through versioning since an errata process
does not really make sense for WSDL, we really want an entire latest
greatest version of the WSDL which includes all bug fixes.
Need all input by Thursday afternoon 01/09/03 for inclusion in 01/13/03
rev 0.95 candidate.
1) Re visit SSDP examples Decided that psi:rootdevice, is needed for
compatibility for a device that uses SSDP for both PSI and UPnP.

General spec discussion:
Need some Normative statements on authentication:
Discovery? Normative part of spec or developer's guide?
I think discovery is what Bluetooth calls "process mandatory"
This means that, if a feature (such as a discovery protocol) is
used, it is used in the specified manner.
Interop events?
As soon as we have a few companies that are ready HP will host
an event, off cycle from PWG meetings. How many devices do we need?
Need interop test criteria such as what features will be supported
what discovery is used etc.
