I agree with Jay on the common mindset, although I suggest that the
need at this point is to establish one. For example, I would suggest
that a disk problem is reported in the hrDeviceStatus for the disk
device, not in the hrPrinterDetectedErrorState.

Wouldn't you set hrPrinterDetectedErrorState to "serviceRequested" for
such conditions as "disk failure", etc? (In fact, isn't "serviceRequested"
the semantic equivalent of the "other" enum value so often found in the
Printer MIB definitions?)
