Subject: UPDATED telecon info: Friday, Dec 6, 11-3 EST,
CIP4/PODi/FSG IPP/JDF Digital Printing Color and Imaging Attributes

A number of Last Minute changes have been made to the
    teleconference:
            1. One hour longer (as agreed today at the PWG Semantic Model
    telecon)
            2. US PODi number, not the CIP4 German number (the CIP4 meeting
    scheduler is still unavailable)
            3. The webex password is "colors" not "color" in order to meet the
    WebEx requirement of 6 characters.
            4. More refined agenda steps as discussed today at the PWG Semantic
    Model telecon.

We will have color scientists from EFI (Thor Olson), HP (Mary
Nielsen), and Xerox (Ann McCarthy) will attend.

This message is being forwarded separately to the PODi web board,
the CIP4 Color Workflow WG, and
            printing-jobticket@freestandards.org (which can't take such a long
    cc list).

            The details:
            Friday: 12/6/02, 8-12 AM PST = 11-3 PM EST
            dial phone number: 1 (603) 318-2222 PIN: 348 (U.S.)

We'll also use webex: http://cip4.webex.com/webex/ Meeting:
DigitalPrinting, PSW: colors [note "s" on the end to make 6
    characters required by WebEx]

If you are a new user, go there ahead of time an install the
    software needed
            by your browser.

Friday Agenda: continue the review of the IPP to JDF mapping table
    for the
color and imaging attributes (indicated with red revision marks in
    version 0.96). (Skip
            over non-color attributes).

The latest version (v0.96 03-Dec-2002) is available at:

    ftp://ftp.pwg.org/pub/pwg/fsg/jobticket/IPP_Mapping/ippjdf-mapping-03-Dec-20
    02.pdf

    ftp://ftp.pwg.org/pub/pwg/fsg/jobticket/IPP_Mapping/ippjdf-mapping-03-Dec-20
    02.doc

            Review includes:
            a. Is the Priority agreed (High, Medium, Low, Never)
            b. Is the functionality understood and agreed.
            c. Is the mapping to JDF/1.1 Product Intent correct or the proposed
    JDF
            extension agreed?
            d. Is the mapping to the JDF/1.1 Process Resources correct or the
    proposed
            JDF extension agreed?
            e. If there is time, finish merging the EFI color attribute names at
the end of the table into the IPP attribute names and/or add additional
attributes, if the EFI names have different functionality.

The details of the semantics of the IPP attributes are contained in
    the IPP
Color and Imaging spec being reviewed at Thursday's meeting and
    available
            at:
            ftp://ftp.pwg.org/pub/pwg/ipp/new_COLOR/pwg5100.8-D01-021018.pdf
If you have comments you want to send before or after the Friday
    meeting,
            lets use the digital_printing@cip4.org DL.

            Sorry for the confusion,
            Tom Hastings
