Norbert:

Anything to do with ISO is hard. I think you have to get the standard
from ANSI (www.ansi.org). It is three volumes standard and will cost you good
$$$. However, they contains detailed attributes for multi-national
fonts. This standard will save a lot of time to handle the international
characters.
