    Hi,

Per our discussion at this morning's WBMM telecon, I have made
PDF's of various important OASIS WSDM (Web Services Distributed
Management) documents and posted them in the directory:

       ftp://ftp.pwg.org/pub/pwg/wbmm/wsdm

    in the files:

    wsdm-tc-proposal-note.txt (6K)
    - original email proposal for WSDM TC (listing participating
      companies and individual members)

    wsdm-tc-description.pdf (47K)
    - description of WSDM TC

    wsdm-tc-charter.pdf (44K)
    - charter of WSDM TC

    wsdm-mows-concepts.pdf (45K)
    - MOWS (Mgmt Of Web Services) model diagram

    wsdm-mows-reqs-20030727.pdf (105K)
    - MOWS requirements draft

    wsdm-muws-concepts.pdf (40K)
    - MUWS (Management Using Web Services) model diagram

    wsdm-muws-reqs-20030728.pdf (186K)
    - MUWS requirements draft

    wsdm-tc-f2f-agenda-20031001.pdf (129K)
    - WSDM TC face-to-face agenda slides, annotated as minutes

    wsdm-tc-f2f-summary-20031001.pdf (36K)
    - WSDM TC face-to-face summary minutes (see above agenda slides)

    wsdm-tc-minutes-20031023.pdf (21K)
    - WSDM TC conference call 23 Oct 2003 minutes

For more information, see the OASIS WSDM TC home page at:

    http://www.oasis-open.org/committees/tc_home.php?wg_abbrev=wsdm

    Some initial impressions (my own):
    - WSDM TC has bitten off a _very_ large problem space (see the
agenda slides for all the other standards organizations that
they've already identified for liason and collaboration)
    - WSDM TC has received technology submissions from a number of
different vendors (players in Web Svcs and/or systems mgmt)
    - WSDM TC has a far too aggressive schedule (see the charter
      above)
    - WSDM TC may well be open to input from PWG (although input
      appears to require OASIS membership)

The best route to influencing the OASIS WSDM TC may be through
renewed collaboration of PWG and DMTF CIM (Core Info Model) for
    print systems modelling and management.

    Cheers,
    - Ira
