The next WBMM/WIMS conference call will be on Wednesday 12 May from 12PM to 1PM EST.

Time: 12:00 PM EST (9:00 AM PST)
    Call-in US Toll-free: 1-877-874-5524
    Call-in International/Toll: 1-712-455-8420
    Participant Identification number: 497478#

    Proposed Agenda follows:

            A. Review Discussion of Operation Returns and Ira's suggestion to include "unsupportedElements : UnsupportedElements - An UnsupportedElements object
that contains the elements that are not supported by the service. Conforms
to definition in the Semantic Model [SM] PwgCommon.xsd. If an element was
ignored, the element is returned with an empty value. If the element was substituted
to another value, the element with the substituted value is returned."

            B. Discussion of response to Actions. We stated last week that all actions in a schedule should produce a response to the manager whether successful or not. Ira indicated further that any failure of any action should cause an alert operation to be initiated by the agent. The addition of "unsupported elements" return to the operations was partially in response to the objection to issuing an alert each time a periodic GET_ELEMENTS found an element not supported by a given managed entity...presumably the agent would check elements in a schedule for a particular managed entity and return an elements not supported so that the manager would learn what is not supported and modify the schedule accordingly. This is a bit cumbersome and I think needs more discussion.
    Actions are listed below:

(Note: We are still working on information in
    ftp://ftp.pwg.org/pub/pwg/wbmm/wd/latestdraft.pdf.
I will prepare new drafts for next week on the basis of recent discussions.)

     The actions are:
    Vendor
    Disable
    Enable
    Pause
    Resume
    PurgeJobs
    Restart
    Shutdown
    Startup
    GetElements
    SetElements
    GetResources
    DeleteResources
    SetResources
    SubscribeForAlerts
    UnsubscribeForAlerts
    UpdateSchedule

    Many thanks!

    Bill Wagner
