OK, thanks for the comments. I am keeping a list. I have no strong objection to eliminating this largely historical definition although I see no harm in defining WIMS Managed Device (since most people will be thinking in terms of device) to differentiate it from Managed Entity (which is what we are dealing with). Hopefully, your critical reviews will extend to the section 6, which has been modified so many times that I am sure that there are some serious problems there.

    Hi,

Yes and define WIMS Managed Service and Legacy Managed Service.

I suggest NOT doing any of these terms.

    Cheers,
    - Ira

    Comment.

    In draft <ftp://ftp.pwg.org/pub/pwg/wims/wd/wd-wims10-20040810.pdf> wd-wims10-20040810
    Under Terminology (2)
I don't think we need the definition of WIMS Managed Device. It appears redundant with WIMS Managed Entity and is only used in the document in the description or WIMS Imaging System (later in the Terminology section). Also, if we are to prescribe the term WIMS Managed Device then we should likewise include Legacy Managed Device.
