Okay, done. Since my first message to you was lost completely, I
included those few files as well.

    Hi Rick,

GREAT news that the tool does so much of the work for us!

Notes with attachments usually die at the PWG reflector,
so I'm replying to the WIMS list.

For exchange of files by FTP (the right approach), we should put
well-named files (w/ trailing 8-digit dates in the base name of their
ZIP files) in _short_ named directory paths.

Email readers like Outlook frequently break long URLs. Command
line FTP tools make long URLs painful. And uppercase should NOT
be used in PWG FTP site directory paths.

So, I've just created the two directories:

    ftp://ftp.pwg.org/pub/pwg/wims/cim/mofinput
    ftp://ftp.pwg.org/pub/pwg/wims/cim/mofoutput

Please use simple filenames like 'rick-20070119.zip', since
the directory is self-identifying. Please ZIP everything you
post, so we don't post the individual MOF files when there
will soon be so many under CIM_Printer (device).

    OK, everyone?

    Cheers,
    - Ira

I think you'll be delighted with the results. Long, ugly description
lines? No problem. Attributes out of order? No problem. Well, except
for the ones it doesn't know about that are brand new.

I hope this saves you some work programming.

If you can't run mofpretty out there, I'll do it here. Let's make a
temp directory on the ftp site to exchange files instead of emailing
them all the time. Something like

      MofBeautySalon
      MofBeautySalon/UglyIn
      MofBeautySalon/PrettyOut
