I understand your argument (too late, once again), but I think
your logic is flawed. We aren't asking the IETF to adopt JMP MIB.
We're just asking them to publish it as an Informational RFC.
Unlike IPP (which is merely in serious trouble with the IETF),
the JMP MIB has fallen entirely from IETF grace. Why do we care
if we delay it for a short while to improve it?
Also, I watched the same argument (too late, once again) be
applied nineteen months ago to abandon work to fix the
localisation contexts of all strings in the Printer MIB.
And we all saw how quickly the Printer MIB v2 draft moved
forward...
