Hi Chris,

I find the reference to an 'SNMPv3 Working Group' somewhat disturbing.
The industry is in enough disarray trying to getting interoperability
(traps aside) around the 1996 SNMPv2 standards. Could you post a
pointer to the 'SNMPv2 Working Group'. Overloaded as we are, my
common client team at Xerox would probably want to monitor and/or
participate in any activity updating the 'over-the-wire' SNMPv2
protocol. Are new base types (like BITS) being added? Will it
be possible to be cleanly interoperable between SNMPv2 (1996) and
the upcoming SNMPv3?

Cheers,
