Hi,

Posted to PWG server at:

ftp://ftp.pwg.org/pub/pwg/BOFs/ce/CE-BOF-20040527.ppt

Sorry we have no Powerpoint (MS PP Reader 2003 crashes
Acrobat 6 and forces a re-install, so I couldn't do
the conversion).

Cheers,
- Ira

Ira,

Could you please share this PowerPoint file for tomorrow PWG CE BOF meeting,
until I will generate a PDF version with my desk top computer.
(As I am traveling with my note book computer which does not have a license
of
Acrobat Writer)

Also I will review your draft specification of simple Job Ticket on tomorrow
meeting.
Your document is greatly helpful for me and also for PWG members. Thank you.

Hi,

Thanks very much - I'm glad you like the basic idea.

I think two more things are needed in the spec:

(1) How to write an updated version of the job ticket
(back to the same directory?) that is the 'log'
    of the print job.

(2) What directory on a memory card or removable disk
is 'standard' for storing job tickets (so that
two different vendors can agree about passing the
    job tickets).

Cheers,
- Ira

Ira,

I downloaded this document and I started to review the document from this
evening. Thank you and I like this idea in my basis. I will send the reply
later.

Hi folks, Monday (10 May 2004)

[For review at the next PWG face-to-face meeting in Vancouver, BC, during
the Consumer Electronice BOF on Thursday (27 May 2004)]

I have just posted an initial draft of a non-XML, string-encoded
PWG Simple Job Ticket at:

    ftp://ftp.pwg.org/pub/pwg/BOFs/ce/tb-cesjt10-20040510.htm

Please read the SJT/1.0 example in Appendix D (see below) and the brief ABNF
in Appendix C before reading the body of this document.

Please send comments to the 'pwg at pwg.org' mailing list.

Cheers,
- Ira

[PS - Jerry - I cut and pasted the cover page style and boilerplate from
Harry's most recent PWG Process 2.0 draft - please point out any errors
- the boldface didn't cut and paste in titles such as 'About IEEE' and the
PWG graphic isn't there - those will come in an MS Word-based draft]

[PPS - I created a subdirectory 'ce' under '/pub/pwg/BOFs' for CE stuff]
