new feature by assembling specific settings of other features to a higher level

<DIV><FONT size=2>Generic features are the way you can add a new feature to the
device description. This way we can assure that the new feature follows the
standard description method of all features (has an ID attribute,
etc.).</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2>You can define generic features for variable as well as for
enumerated values.</FONT></DIV>
