I believe the features (intentionally) missing in SWP are essential to
IPP if it is to become widely adopted.

Scott did an excellent job explaining how simple it is to address the
concerns that have been voiced over these features. I encourage the IPP
WG to work out the final details and keep IPP on track as a robust and
single conformance level protocol.
