DESCRIPTION:Original protocol proposals mentioned supporting legacy formats. There is a desire to support common formats such as images.
DISCUSSIONS:
  • Initial discussions included both legacy and common format.
  • Maybe use standard digital camera format as one proposal to make it simple for digital cameras.
    Would need command to say what to do with data once it is received.
  • Update of issue from 5/14/97 Meeting in San Diego
    • There is an ISO proposal to form a still image format and command set. ISO TC42/WG18

    • Raw data formats:
      • RGB, YUV, YCbCr
    • High Level Formats
      • EXIF(TIFF/JPEG)
