This completes my action item regarding the printer-storage/-description attributes and associated printer-state-reasons keywords for storage sub-units.
Some comments of my own:
1. This probably belongs in EPX 2.0 (sorry Smith, but at least you can copy/paste the content :)
2. Apparently the folks at INCITS (that maintain the ATA standards, including the SMART stuff) don't think that a storage device will have a life longer than about 7.5 operating years (65535 hours) - the SMART self-diagnostic log contains a 16-bit timestamp in hours... :/
