Hi Bob,

For the last four weeks, the concensus at weekly IPP Telecons
has favored Carl Kugler's proposal that one of the standard
IPP Notification delivery methods be via additional asynchronous
IPP Responses over the HTTP channel opened by a CLIENT system
when submitting a given job (for as long as that HTTP channel
remains open), as a good method for job-specific notifications.

The discussion of opening HTTP channels FROM the SERVER (ie,
IPP Printer or Spooler) TO the CLIENT (IPP Client) for
notification delivery has seen much less concensus.

Please, let's keep these two topics clearly separated.
